Doing things properly
Founded in London by Robert Stephenson in 1998 and still based here today, Sedilia began as a one-man workshop working with a small network of interior design clients. Trained in cabinetry before moving into upholstery, Stephenson built the business around craftsmanship, precision and an insistence on doing things properly.
At a time when much bespoke upholstery was driven by cost and compromise, he set out to create work of a different standard: furniture with integrity, strong proportions and lasting comfort.
