Sedilia products are intended for interior use only. We advise that you are careful not to locate your furniture in areas that are exposed to direct sunlight, moisture and fluctuating temperatures. Surface degradation and the structural integrity of the product may be compromised. No warranty claim will be valid if this is not adhered to. 

Upholstery

Our loose seat cushions are constructed from engineered reflex foam topped with a layer of pure down. Regular plumping is required to keep the layer of down light and lofty to retain the upmost comfort of your cushion.

Fabric 

Fabrics supplied by Sedilia should be professionally dry cleaned by upholstery cleaning specialists. For any spillages, blot as soon as possible with a dry cloth and dry clean only. Do not rub stains, and under no circumstances are cleaning products/any type of chemicals to be applied to the fabric. All fabric will naturally mellow with exposure to daylight. Protect from direct or strong exposure to sunlight to reduce the risk of colour fading within the fabric. Sedilia make no guarantee of the lightfastness of any of its supplied fabrics.

Leather 

As a natural product, if you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time. If you see the need for cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to remove any dirt. Once or twice a year for thorough cleaning, use the foam from soap flakes stirred in warm water. Apply the foam with a dry soft cloth, minimising any contact with water. Please note: this method does not apply to the Dunes leather, never use soap or water on this specification of leather otherwise the velvety look and feel will disappear. Avoid using any bar soap, leather cleaners, household detergents or chemical products on all leathers. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects.

Timbers

We offer a carefully considered selection of fine quality hardwoods sourced within Europe. Our finishes are applied by hand using multiple layers of natural oils and waxes. To keep the timber in prime condition you may apply and remove a fine layer of good quality clear furniture wax to recondition the surface. This should only be necessary once every one-two years. Remove any dust and dirt when necessary with a dry, soft, lint free cloth – wipe in the direction of the timber’s natural grain to prevent any cross scratching.
